A typical detox fast consists of one day of drinking water only and plenty of rest. It is suggested to do thing on the weekend or any other day where you do not have any obligations. There are two day variations of this same type of fast and even three or more days.

Be aware though, it is with time only a person can attempt to fast at such lengths as it takes the body and the mind as well a little while to prepare itself for this type of consecration. If you must fast around others it is wise to not make a fuss about it. Typically, people do not understand fasting and even when they have some familiarity with the subject their opinions and wild speculation can become a bit daunting to undertake along with the fast itself.

A fast of this type typically should not exceed 3 days and is not suggested for someone not familiar with other types of fasting techniques or having never fasted before.
